외신들 전화부스 워킹스루 앞다퉈 소개 AFP VOA

병원 전화박스라 부르며 세계가 주목한 워킹스루

 

 

워킹 스루의 인기가 심상치 않습니다. 드라이브 스루 방식에 대해서 일본은 처음에 부정적인 입장이었는데요, (나중에 오해를 사과하며 도입하긴 했지만) 워킹 스루 진료소에 대해서는 관심을 보이며 자세하게 소개하고 있습니다. 

사실 일본은 코로나 19 바이러스가 의사에게 전염되는 것을 꺼려 키트 검사가 아닌 임상 진단으로 처방을 내려야 한다고 보도하기도 했었지요. 그래서인지 의료진 감염을 막고 소독면적, 검사시간을 줄이는 워킹 스루 진료소에 특히 주목하고 있는 것 같습니다. 무엇보다 차가 없거나, 운전을 못하거나, 노인이나 어린이도 이용할 수 있다는 점이 참 좋습니다. 

 

 

외국에서는 전화박스처럼 생겼다고 병원용 전화부스라고 부릅니다

 

미국도 관심이 많은가 봅니다. AFP News Agency는 Coronavirus: South Korea dials up testing with hospital 'phone booth' | AFP라는 제목으로, VOA News는 South Korea Testing with Hospital "Phone Booths"라는 제목으로 한국이 전화부스 형태의 코로나바이러스 테스트 진료소를 도입했다고 소개했습니다. 

같은 소스에서 나온 것 같은데 VOA News의 영상이 더 길고 상세합니다. 댓글은 AFP News Agency의 반응이 더 좋은 것 같네요^^ 혼자만 즐기기엔 너무 아까워서 가지고 왔습니다. 영어 되시는 분들은 한 번쯤 방문해서 조회 수도 올려 드리고 한국인이라는 자부심을 느껴보는 것도 좋을 듯합니다. (알바 아님! 홍보해줘도 동전하나 받은 거 없음)

To even attempt what South Korea is doing, you need a nationalized healthcare system, a large military force, enough equipment, volunteers, and citizen compliance which is woefully lacking in a lot of countries.
한국처럼 해보려면 국영 의료 시스템, 대규모 군대, 충분한 장비, 자원 봉사자, 시민의 협력이 필요한데, 슬프게도 많은 국가들은 이런 것들이 부족하다.

What a great idea … the Drive-Thru is a great way to test many people but this is so useful and helpful for those who do not have a car ... two thumbs up!!!

After watching this I'm ashamed to live in France.

The US will never reach S. Korea's level of preparedness and ingenuity. We can barely test more than a couple dozen people a day, and forget making sure people are well enough to go back to work. Hell, people go to work sick because they can't afford to be sick. There is one thing we excel at though, and that's giving huge corporations trillion-dollar bailouts,  just so they can fire employees and give themselves multi-million dollar bonuses before crashing the economy.

South Korea is doing a phenomenal job testing and containing the virus. I applaud them for their promptness and ingenuity when it comes to finding creative solutions. They are effective and help minimize risk. Here in the US we have lots to learn. Us humans are clever species. Is time to put our brains to work to prevent this in the future. Preparation is key, and so is supporting science, our researchers, medical personnel, engineers etc. Helping them will benefit us all, and help humanity push further. Politics aside, outbreaks like these are the greatest threat we face. Is time to look at the bigger picture, stop selfishness, greed, misinformation and antiscientific thinking. Let's all contribute. It is in our best interest to not be blinded by short-sightedness and fight.  Also, please stop making stupid people famous. Instead  make doctors, nurses, researchers, teachers, engineers and everyone who contributes to society feel more appreciated, or at least compensate them more. They are our heroes. Without them, without science, without collaboration, us humans won't stand a chance.

I've lived in Korea since 2006. Absolutely nothing about how they handled this crisis, the innovation, the cooperation of its people surprises me.  Living in Korea quite honestly spoils you for other countries precisely for reasons like this. Other Asian countries are also doing quite well in managing this.
나는 2006년부터 한국에 살았다. 그들은 이 위기를 어떻게 대처해야 할지 전무한 상태였지만 사람들의 혁신과 협력은 나를 놀라게 했다. 솔직히 말하면 정확히 이런 이유에서 한국에 사는 것은 다른 나라에서 당신을 망쳐놓을 것이다. 다른 아시아 국가들도 꽤 잘 관리하고 있다.

정말 한국인들은 창의적이고 똑똑한 사람들이 많은가 봅니다. 외국에서도 거의 한국은 빠르고, 정확하며, 의료 선진국이라고 인정하는 듯한 분위기네요. 그리 어려워 보이지는 않는다며 자동차가 없거나 노인들을 위해 꼭 자국에도 도입해 줬으면 하는 기대와 바람도 찾아볼 수 있습니다. 

무엇보다 의료인들의 헌신이 가장 컸고, 정말로 사람들을 위하고 배려하는 마음이 아주 간단해 보이지만 기발한 발상과 실천을 가능하게 한 것이 아닌가 생각해봅니다. 최전선에서 코로나 19와 싸우며 대한민국을 구하고 계신 의료진들께 진심으로 감사한 마음 전합니다. 꾸벅.
