This is a story when I was filled with the Holy Spirit and recovered from TB.
After a short visit to my sister, I was waiting for the subway on my way home.
A guy came up to the platform where I stood and stopped beside me.
He looked so terribly sorrowful enough to make his surroundings sad and I was really concerned.
Due to his dark skin and a little outdated clothing, I thought he was a foreign worker from Southeast Asia.
Since I didn’t know where he came from or what language he uses, I couldn’t find a way to comfort him.
Even if he was Korean, I was too timid to start a conversation with him, so there was nothing I could do.
In the meantime, trains arrived and we rode on the subway and sat down side by side.
He stared moodily into a message on his mobile phone. His face reflected in the windowpane gloomed over.
He looked so terribly sorrowful enough to make his surroundings sad
Although he fought desperately to force back his tears, his shoulders heaved soon and then he wiped away his eyes with a hand.
Was it because of being separated from someone he loved
or of a life-threatening illness or the death of his loved one?
I wanted to comfort him.
Folding my hands together, I prayed to God,
‘Please let me see your peace on him. The peace that you gave me when I suffered from tuberculosis.’
Shortly after, he stopped his silent weeping. There were no more tears.
After passing through several stops, he left his seat and stood in front of the train door.
Waiting for the train to stop, he looked back briefly.
On his what-happened-to-me face, I could read that he found his peace.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away…
REVELATION 21:4
Now I know that we are spiritual beings and are all connected.
However, we rejected God and to live for loving each other.
I believe He created us to live, loving each other.
He knows our voices–I mean prayer– and wants to make it come true.
All we need to do is love each other.
How wonderful it is! It is the most powerful weapon to defeat evil spirits.
I want to use this weapon for invoking a blessing to others, so that they can meet God and experience His perfect love.
